can any expert can help me with my Verbal?
I guessed all RC questions in the test coz I cannot read , I cannot concentrate, and I waste so many time, but I feel horrible about my SC, coz I did very well in all mocks, veritas, Manhattan( manhattan's SC question bank and CR bank are very easy to me, but Veritas' is hard), and prep packages123456(about these mocks, I feel normally difficult, but I still achieved scores above 700) I think I have a time management issue and testing day anxieties. but I still **** up in the MEDIUM difficulty level questions, I wanna know how many SC and CR I got correct I the exam and what I should do in the next 27 days, I booked 11th January 2022. I need 750, my Q is 50, so really need a high verbal score.
The left ESR is the one of yesterday's test; the right one is the esr of my first test few months ago
Thanks!
EMPOWERgmatRichCScottTargetTestPrepHi ElijahTimroyalty,
For scoring 700 and above, you need to make sure you don’t get the easy & medium questions wrong as GMAT test is adaptive in nature. For that, being conceptually clear on all topics is really vital. Not only this, you have to be good with application of concepts also, because GMAT is a test of application of concepts. But, before application, you need to understand the motive behind the questions being asked. Once you understand that, the process of learning becomes a lot simpler and easier. If your concepts are clear and you use the right methods and strategies to solve questions, you will be able to smartly avoid the traps set by the test makers.
Looking at your ESR, you definitely have consistency issues. There are wild swings in your performance which implies that you haven’t followed a very structured approach for verbal. One possible reason could be that you’re following too many sources of information and have now confused yourself. I would suggest you to only focus and study from one source, whatever it may be.
Private Tutoring
Private tutoring is the best option if you feel you need a personal mentor to guide you through your preparation. Your performance will be constantly monitored by the mentor and based on the feedback you can prepare accordingly. This mostly works when students face difficulty in understanding concepts and require a one-on-one interaction with tutors with personalised learning. Moreover, if you feel you get distracted now and then, and need a mentor to keep you right on track till the end, I suggest you to go with private tutoring.
