Hello,

I took GMAT on Thursday and got a score of 640 (Q46, V34). I am planning to take the exam again in a month.
I would like to know how I can improve.
My quant is good and I was scoring 47-50 on my mocks.
Attaching my ESR .

Hello neetib ....welcome to the community.

Couple of observation :

1. Verbal: you are spending way too much time for the 1st 2 sections.
2. Try to get you SC timing below 1:30 (preferably 1:20 ) so that you can invest the time saved in CR.

3. Quant : Q46-48 .... means almost or no concept gap...... so try below for 7-10 days ( and if u like it.....continue)
(**Use GMAT Club pdf (free !! )to refresh concepts tested in the exam.)
i. Start practicing 600 level Qs at the links below, and once I reach 90% accuracy(in 2 mins) I would move to 700 level.
**From your post ......it seems....you would be done with those 2 steps in 2-3 days
ii. Similarly, at 700 level I would strive for 80-85% accuracy(again in 2 mins) ..... more the merrier !!
iii. Finally, definitely use GMAT Club Q-Tests (if you are targetting Q48++)
**Be mindful with your mistakes and the ones that you took more than 3 or 4 mins.

Hi Neeti, you clearly ran phenomenally out of time in the last quarter in Verbal. Better time management alone, can boost your Verbal score.

Also, what happened in Quant on the day of the exam, since you seem to be quite confident of your Quant skills otherwise.

Hi Neeti, in both quant and verbal, time-management emerges as a clear issue. Hence, you need to give more mock-tests to develop a better sense of time, to avoid scampering towards the end.

Even when you are doing assignments (or questions on this forum), see that you're not spending an average of more than 2 minutes per question.
