How do you like this question? Does it maybe deserve the "Debatable OA" tag?

It should be there are still instead of there is still

So eliminate A and C

Now numerous practical inventions are made through technology to assist people not the other way round.
and also complete and full kind of mean same thing.so to make it concise use complete
So eliminate E

Now between B and C

if you use integration then use and not as well as
because you integrate is plural..and also integrate this and this is correct idiom

if you like give kudos

Why is "as well as" incorrect here?

I would say "and" and "as well as" are both wrong in this case . Since this is a negative sentence ("preventing integration"), the correct conjunction should be "or".

I do not eat cheese AND I do not eat butter = I do not eat cheese OR butter.

..prevent integration into working sphere AND prevent integration into other sectors = prevent integration into working spheres OR other spheres.

The usage is analogous to the following logical identity:

(NOT A) AND (NOT B) = NOT (A OR B)

In that case i don't think there is anything wrong with option B, or B and D are equally wrong! Can you please throw some light on this.?

Does the usage of 'even though' vs 'although' makes B incorrect?

I do not know of any meaning difference between "even though" and "although" except that "even though" depicts a stronger contrast than the latter. So use of "even though" and "although" probably cannot differentiate the right answer from wrong.

Yes, usage of "as well as" and "and" respectively makes B and D equally wrong!

Nonetheless D is more wrong considering some other aspects:
1. After a short introductory prepositional phrase, a comma is generally not used - "through technology" is a short phrase and does not require a comma after it.
2. A comma is required to separate a main clause and a subordinate clause. In D a comma is missing before "although".

Doesn't option D change the intended meaning by using although before many barriers?

No, the original sentence also depicts a contrast using "even though" in the beginning.

Moroever it is not stated in any official instruction that it is required to maintain the meaning of the original sentence. If there is only one gramatically correct sentence, it would be the correct answer, even if it changes the meaning of the original sentence.

Stuck between B and D. Chose B because of Point 1.
1. D- seems to have a problem. It does not have a comma around although

OA, as shared, is D.
If D is the OA, then what is the error in B. Is it because of the "and" and "as well as" split?
2. Not able to understand the split of "as well as" Vs "and"
