Iam currently working in psu.
I wanted to do executive mba from iim/isb and have been planning to write GMAT this year
The concern that i want to discuss is iam 40 years old and have 14 years of extensive experience in various domains
I discussed my desire with my colleagues and friends and they somehow discouraged me
I want you all to share your kind insights for me to decide further

What is the issue? It sounds like you are a great candidate from an experience standpoint. While that's far from the entire picture, an Executive MBA at age 40 is more than appropriate.

Dear Kamal,
I completely understand your hesitation, but I genuinely believe that now is the perfect time for you to pursue an Executive MBA. As an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and having observed candidates across other esteemed campuses like IIM Ahmedabad and ISB, I can assure you that Executive MBA programs are designed to accommodate experienced professionals of various age groups.
While it's true that you may not be eligible to apply for IIM Bangalore due to their specific criteria, there are excellent opportunities awaiting you at IIMA, IIMC, IIML, and ISB. Your eligibility for these programs will depend on your GMAT score, but I am confident that your experience and skills will make you a strong candidate.
Instead of solely relying on your peers' opinions, I encourage you to reach out to alumni from these prestigious B-schools to gain firsthand perspectives. They can provide valuable insights into their experiences and how an Executive MBA has positively impacted their careers.
