I had a great time using their services for my MBA applications.

The process was very well structured, with the brainstorming call as the first step, my consultant Sheridan was pretty supportive and we had a detailed discussion on my job experiences, past projects and extracurriculars, to flesh out the strengths we want to focus on and what weaknesses to avoid.

Another awesome thing they did was help me pick the right schools. They looked at what I've done, what I like, and what I want to do in the future. They suggested the best schools for me. This saved me so much time and let me focus on the most important schools.

Writing applications, especially essays and LORs, can be tough, but it was easier with their help. Vanshika was my writing POC and gave me great tips on how to make my stories better. They also have this cool online place where I could easily upload my documents. It was simple to use, and I could see how my application was doing and talk to the experts easily.

Overall, I'm really happy with the help they gave me, currently awaiting hearing back from schools for the interview round. Fingers crossed.

Initially, I faced uncertainty regarding my MiM application journey. Despite possessing quite a good overall academic background, on paper, my essays weren't effectively showcasing my achievements and aspirations. My GMAT score- 690, fell within the mid-range, making it important to add more elements to improve the competitiveness of my application.

My first call with MiM Essay was pleasant, and I was quite impressed by Anjali's (my consultant) professionalism and attentiveness. She created a welcoming environment, patiently listened to my concerns and aspirations, and encouraged open dialogue. Through insightful questioning, Anjali sought to gain a comprehensive understanding of my profile, including my academic achievements, work experience, and extracurriculars.

Following our initial discussion, she recognized the importance of highlighting my unique experiences and achievements and devised a strategic plan tailored to my goals. A structured approach was followed to craft compelling essays and add specific leadership points with a quantitative approach. Additionally, we discussed the significance of securing strong Letters of Recommendation (LoRs) to bolster my application.

Implementing the plan, we worked collaboratively to refine each component of my application. She provided detailed feedback on my essay drafts and offered guidance on selecting appropriate anecdotes and examples to showcase my leadership skills and academic potential.

While working on profile points and building LoRs were beneficial, I found some aspects, like the visa assistance, less impactful, specifically because of the delay in the process from the team. ­When I first considered applying for an MBA, I was unsure of how to present my story for MBA admissions, as I was targeting Kellogg's PT Weekend MBA and Duke's Executive MBA programs. I was especially concerned about whether I would be considered as an ORM and if my ethnicity would be helpful in the application process. I am from Venezuela, moved to the US 8 years ago, and worked my way up in a bank in Charlotte.

Like every other applicant,  I was fully aware of the importance of achieving a good score on the GMAT and began preparing accordingly. After a month or so, I noticed some improvement in my performance, but it was still far from the score I was aiming for. Given my current schedule, it appeared to be quite challenging to achieve my target score.

True and honest opinion from an actual user. It’s such a waste of money. All the consultants are confused students themselves with absolutely no idea of what they’re saying. The consultants are unavailable most of the time and I got a response from them after 2 days for small quick questions. They take an hefty amount of money as an advance and do not provide services according to what they sell before receiving the money. Do not sign up with them. Save yourself from a continuous chase after their staff members and consultants and the stress they give. Good luck!

­One of my main issues was figuring out how to present my engineering background in a way that would appeal to business schools. With engineers being the most common pool of applicants, it required more than just a stellar resume and GMAT score to be admitted to top business schools. I struggled to connect my technical skills to the B-school values. MiM-Essay’s team took the time to understand my experiences and helped me find the right points to highlight. They didn’t try to make me into something I’m not but instead focused on my strengths and unique points. This approach made my application stand out.

The best part was how personalized and considerate the team was. They adapted their services to fit my application stage perfectly. Your profile looks decent with a good GMAT score. However, if you are looking to start class in Fall 2024, there is only one round left: Round 4: Deadline - June 12, 2024.

R4 is very competitive, and admits are a bit tricky, especially if you’re an Indian. Since business schools have now filled the classroom with prospective applicants and are looking for diversity, the round is associated with smaller odds of success and the need for exceptional candidate profiles to crack it.

In R4, they are searching for candidates who can bring a spark (and difference) to the incoming cohort. Your academics are great, no doubt. Your applications need to be strong to build a space in the minds of adcoms, and for that, you need to have a solid profile. Right now, I do not see any distinguishing factor that could advantage you in applying so late. I need to know your work experience in more detail to understand your competence.
