\(\frac{√12}{2}=\frac{√(4*3)}{2}=\frac{√(2^2*3)}{2}=\frac{2√3}{2}=√3\)

In addition to what chetan2u has posted, you could also go with:

\(2=\sqrt{4}\)

\(\frac{√12}{2}=\frac{√12}{√4}

=√\frac{12}{4}

=\sqrt{3}\)
