Hi rachelwz,

I'm really sorry to hear about all of these disruptions during your Official GMAT - and you are absolutely justified in feeling frustrated. Based on what you described, the ESR likely won't provide much meaningful information (since your performance was consistently disrupted over the course of the Exam). Given what you describe, it is likely that you will be given a free retest, although it will take some time for the 'investigation' into these issues to be completed (and you might have to wait several weeks to hear the ultimately judgment/resolution). As such, we should use that time to make sure that you keep your GMAT skills sharp.

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Sorry to hear about the terrible experience.

I know how bad it feels. It's just was not your day mate !!

Follow up with GMAC on this and meanwhile stay away from studies for 1-2 days. Just try to relax. Calm you mind and come back strong.

As far as ordering ESR is confirmed, if you are capable of spending that much money, why ask someone else?? Go ahead and order one. This will also solve your question of how you performed in stressful environment?

All the best !!

Hi rachelwz,

Sorry to hear about your experience. I know the GMAT may seem like a never-ending road, but try to hang in there. Believe it or not, your latest issue will make you a stronger test-taker overall and will give you the ability to handle anything that is thrown your way on test day. Once you get your next GMAT on the books, feel free to let us know.

ScottTargetTestPrep. Thanks Scott! I plan to pick up GMAT study today or tomorrow, continue my mini sets and hone my time management skills... Hopefully GMAC replies soon and I can take a test before deadline of July 30... Will keep you all posted.

warrior1991 Thanks mate! Nah, decided against ordering an ESR, coz my actual score is the lowest out of all my official and mock attempts. I really do not want this report to disrupt me anymore...

Might be worth considering giving the Online GMAT and asking for a refund for the in-person GMAT.

GmatTutorKnight The thing is, I have already used up my two online GMAT chances. I called the service team two times since Monday, the service person said my case is already in their priority folder, and i need to wait for at least 3-5 days (or more) as they need time to investigate the whole exam video. I did think about if they can break the rules of giving me another chance of online gmat, but i doubt it. Now i am mentally preparing myself to take a test at Prague instead, because all test centers in Germany do not have many openings in this month. Worst case scenario, I will apply for another test and ask for a refund later... Sigh, speaking of crisis...

Might be worth reaching out to INSEAD with your issue. Perhaps they will make an exception provided you prove some GMAC evidence of your case.
