I would be hard-pressed to believe that anyone who doesn't show up at an admissions event gets a big rejected stamp in their file. That would be capricious and immature and I just can't find it in me that they would do such a thing.
I believe they are probably letting you know that they want you to turn up at these events because they spend a lot of money to put them on. And also potentially that they are reaching out to you personally, even if it doesn't feel personal.
I'm not altogether certain about why they sent the email, but it's probably more of a marketing decision on their part rather than trying to stick it to you. I would just move forward with your plans and Advance confidently in the direction of your dreams
