As someone who's just gone through the bschool application process I can say that a lot of my success can be traced back to having great mentors and support throughout my journey. Applying to bschoool is daunting, which is why having the right people on your corner is awesome. That said, finding mentors is tough unless you have a lot of MBAs already in your network. Otherwise how do you find mentors? How do you reach out? How do you kickstart the conversation? All in all, finding mentors is tough and time-consuming.
Given the impact my mentors had on me I've decided to build a platform that can make it easier for other applicants/prospects to find mentors to connect with. I've built Mentorade
https://alejandrofferreiro.wixsite.com/mentorade to accomplish this.
How it works? Mentorade is completely free and only takes 5 minutes to apply to. You tell us a bit about yourself and then if selected we match you with new mentors every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. Mentors are either current MBA students or alums that will share their experience and answer your questions. When you get matched with a mentor you'll be prompted to schedule a 30 minute call to learn more about them, share your story and ask questions. From there you can decide to stay in touch or simply wait to connect with a new mentor.
We'll be launching soon, so there are limited spots for mentees. If you want to be considered make sure to apply soon! You can apply here in 5 minutes:
