Hi,
I just passed the GMAT: final score 720 (with Q-49, V39).
Well here is my story: I took one week to prepare the test with a Kaplan book + software. I practised also with the 2 tests given by the GMAT and downloaded from the site mba.com.
I really do not know if this 720 score is enough for INSEAD Jan'10, especially as
- I will apply for the second round
- the crisis has significantly increased the number of MBA applicants
- my academic background (++) may lead the admission board to expect from me a higher score ...
So I am wondering: do I need to retake the GMAT to have a higher score (750 or +) and be sure I am "on track" for INSEAD Jan'10?

Judging by GMAT score ALONE, I think it's a great score and I don't see why you would need to retake the exam. (unless you want to)

Looking at INSEAD class profile, their mid GMAt range is from 650 to 760. I think your score fits right in there.
However, if you think you can score higher and higher score will increase your chances of admission, you have nothing to lose but time and another GMAT fee

I think we'll need to know more about your profile/background. 720 will probably be a sufficient score unless you have a real low ug gpa, less than the median WE, or come from a common applicant pool.
