I would like to get some opinion on which B school to choose.
I am interested in MBA in Operations and Logistics.
same $ from both.

I would go for Fisher as my friend had a positive experience with it

As an experienced individual in operational excellence, I can say confidentiality say that Fisher will be a great choice. I know one of the instructors there in continuous improvement. Also, they have access to good companies.

When you are considering Fisher vs. McCombs, also think about the choices in terms of Columbus vs. Austin.

Evaluate locations in terms of:
- post-MBA opportunities
- weather
- cost of living (TX- no state taxes)

If you pick a city that gives you good value, you might want to continue living there. So this could be more than 2 years you spend in the business school.

I like both the cities equally (Columbus vs Austin).
Fisher is top ranked in Operations but McCombs is overall ranked better than Fisher.
Not sure if I should go with Overall ranking or a particular program ranking.

You have to take the concentration specific rankings with a grain of salt. There’re few data points, and are purely survey based at that point. I think you need to evaluate it based on post-MBA career exits for those two schools in the role/company/industry you want to go into.

Operations and supply chain, in general, is not a competitive field for MBAs, but if you want to do Operations for Amazon or Apple, it may be a completely different story. In the latter case, McCombs will be leaps ahead of Fisher.
