I didn't do anything dramatic- just ate a decent breakfast that morning, and kept a bottle of water and fruit & nut bar in my locker at the testing center. Despite another post elsewhere on this forum to consider keeping a full bladder during the exam, I wanted to avoid that and so just took small sips on my breaks.

Most important is getting in a good meal before the test! If you're a snacker, then take a favorite snack as a treat for your break, but make sure it's not messy so you don't have to waste precious break time washing your hands/face afterwards.

Good luck with the exam!

I would stick to complex carbs (think granola bar) with a gatorade to wash it down. Like others have stated it all depends on what works best with your body.

i use to drink coke, in my opinion caffeine definitely helps. But as with most medicines, the placebo effect will help you already a lot!! So just be convinced about whatever you take before your gmat
