same as option A, this is out of scope for this passage

This is supported by the passage

It is not supported by the passage

whether this is best option to relieve the discomfort? this does not have to be true and passage does not say so

No, The argument does not discuss about whose voice is recognized by the Baby first.
(B) A mother’s voice is the first thing a baby learns to recognize.
No, The argument does not discuss about whose voice is recognized by the Baby first.

This clearly speaks about the primary care giver and how their voice help's child release from discomfort.
(D) Often only a primary caregiver can provide comfort to a newborn.
The argument only discusses about ' temporary halt in crying(due to hunger or other similar discomfort)'.
Note: If primary caregiver were comforting, then the child should stop crying , BUT here the child just halts crying.
