(E) $25.00 total cost to foúr people =$80 + 0.15 * 80 ( waiters tip) = $92 cost to each person as they contribute equal amount = $$92/4$$ =$23 B

(E) $25.00 Since the calculation we're asked to do is straightforward, we'll just do it. This is a Precise approach. One way calculate is as shown above: the total is 80 +15% = 80 * 1.15 = 80 * (1 + 0.1 + 0.05) = 80 + 8 + 4 = 92 and dividing this by 4 gives 13. An easier way to calculate is to look at each person individually: Each paid a bill of 80/4 = 20 and 15% of 20 is 3. So each person paid 20 + 3 =$23.

(B) is our answer.
