Hi guys,
after practicing for the Q part for about 3 weeks now, I have finally done my first whole mock test (not AWA though).
My score was 550 Q46 (12W/36) and V20 (20W/41)...I was really surprised with the high Q score because I expected differently with 12 wrongs. But obviously the V part was somewhat dissappointing.
Is a V score of 20 normal if you have never done it before?
Is there a realistic chance of getting V to 35 or higher? (I am not a native)
I am aiming for 650 - 680, should I now concentrate on V or polish my Q a bit more?

First, congrats on a decent baseline, but a very good Q score!
What service did you take the mock test through? (MGMAT, GmatPrep, etc)
I see you're not a native English person, but a 20V is below average - About the 19th percentile. The average is ~ 28. It is certainly realistic to score over 35, but you'll have to put some effort in.
You've got some work ahead of you to reach your target, but it is not impossible.

# incorrect alone is not a proper indicator of success.
You can miss 40% of the problems and score a 700
You can miss 40% of the problems and score a 550
Difficulty + # incorrect together dictate what your score will be.
You have an excellent starting point. Getting jumps in your verbal score shouldn't be too difficult. Honing skills to break the 80 percentile will be the challenge. Your math score is very close to 80 percentile, you need 2 or 3 points.
