Hello Experts! I am here to ask for some guidance!

Today, I took a GmatPrep test and scored 640. I am happy with this score, but it is not the one I wanted. Indeed, I am happy because I have improved 100 points in 1 month and days. I got Q46 and V31. Q--> 17 incorrect, guessed 4 questions. V--> 12 incorrect, guessed 2 questions. (I don't know how real the verbal score is as i found 3 out of 4 passages that i had already done before here in gmatclub)
My history. I am currently studying Engineering, almost finishing my degree (two years left). I have always been good at math, but I enjoy studying verbal more than studying Quant. (I love SC and CR) . I don't know why haha. Maybe, because Verbal is more challenging.
I would also like to add that I have been studying for 3 months more or less(full time), using mgmat (read all books and made a summary of each one), OG 2018 (the red one and the verbal review. I have the quant review but i didn't touch it yet), and a magoosh premium account (did all questions and watched all videos). But it seems that this is not enough.
I was wondering what would you recommend me to do next??? I want a score 720+!!!

Hi patto,

If 3 of your 4 RC passages on this CAT were passages that you had ALREADY worked through before, then this Score result is almost certainly 'inflated' - meaning that we cannot assume that you're actually at the "640 ability level" at this point. As such, for your next CAT, you should plan to take a NEW CAT from a source that you have not seen questions from before. You should NOT take that CAT too soon though (the general 'rule' is no more than 1 CAT per week).

1) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
3) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Ok, EMPOWERgmatRichC!! I'll do another test next Saturday!!
1) I won't take the gmat until I start scoring 720+- on the mocks, so "the day" can be in three months, one month i dont know, depends on progress.
2) I want to apply next year. To tell you the truth, I don't know very well right now the day in which the round closes, but i think i still have plenty of time to do some research on that.
3) Harvard, stanford, wharton, lbs, columbia, nyu, booth. I'll see which one accepts me haha. As I am still in college(2 years to finish at least), i would like to apply firstly to 2+2 and stanford's deferred program. Then, I'll see what happens.

Hi patto,

You've named some highly competitive Programs, so you can't approach this process with the general attitude that you'll "attend whichever one accepts you." As such, you should discuss your general application plans and profile with an Admissions Expert; there might be some areas of your profile that you can work on before you apply (beyond the GMAT). There's a Forum full of those Experts here:
