Hello GMAT experts,
I gave my very first GMAT 6 months ago and scored 610. Today, I gave GMAT second time and scored 690.
During this time I diligently pursued a strategy to improve up on my verbal.
I wish to score in 740+ range, can you please suggest a strategy.
I believe it would be difficult to improve up on the verbal. I have practiced quite a bit of math and didn't see much improvement(used gmatclub tests).
I was hoping to apply in third round to top tier universities. I believe scoring any higher than what I have is going to be a much steeper curve compared to from where I was 6 months ago.
Also, I screwed my IR this time (33% tile), any suggestions on how to improve on that?
Experts do you have any advice? I will post a break up of Quant and Verbal scores.

Hi msalvi,
First off, a 690/Q47 is a fantastic score (it's just shy of the 90th percentile overall), so you should apply to any Business Schools that interests you. As such, a retest might not be necessary.
1) What specific Schools are you planning to apply to?
Before you commit all the time and energy necessary to retake the GMAT, you might find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. There's a Forum full of them here:

Many Business Schools have publicly stated that they do NOT consider an applicant's IR score when reviewing an application, so your score in that section will likely not be a factor.
