Hi there,
I want to start my MBA ideally by Fall 2021 and I need to prepare for my GMAT. There can be several things in the process like writing your GMAT, essays, choosing your ideal school etc. I have some starting questions here:
1) Is there a guide where I can view MBA school application deadlines in North America?
2) What are some good facebook groups to join for GMAT prep/ MBA school?
3) Should I prepare for GMAT myself first and see where I stand or take in-person classes? (I don't like online learning as much as attending classes) What books would I need or is that something my agency where I do my classes will tell me?
4) If I do GMAT Classes, do they start from basics or do they expect you to know some concepts?
Would be great if someone can help!

Hi, and thanks for writing! To answer your questions:
1) Is there a guide where I can view MBA school application deadlines in North America? I'm not sure that there's a one-stop guide, but definitely follow programs of interest on social media and sign up for their email alerts so that you know as soon as applications are published and what the deadlines are
2) What are some good facebook groups to join for GMAT prep/ MBA school? Poets and Quants and ManhattanPrep are the ones mbaMission highly recommends! Be sure to follow the mbaMission page as well, as we offer tips and blog posts regularly
3) Should I prepare for GMAT myself first and see where I stand or take in-person classes? (I don't like online learning as much as attending classes) What books would I need or is that something my agency where I do my classes will tell me? You can always take a practice test first to get a feel for what types of questions are asked and what your potential strengths and weaknesses are. Sometimes, people take a GMAT practice test and a GRE practice test before figuring out which one to pursue, to see which one suits them better based on the style of the questions. 1. There is a thread here on gmat club listing all the important dates for most colleges. For some reason the forum isnt letting me attach links here so just search " All MBA Deadlines for 2019- 2020" in GMATCLUB forum.
2. There's always a thread here in GMATCLUB discussing the MBA programs, interview experiences and so for a any given college. I guess these will be much more useful than the facebook groups
3. A mock test would definitely help to figure out where you stand. If you need some serious improvement I strongly recommend you to join classes as this will put you in a competitive environment and help you your motivation and learning as well.
4. This completely depends on your tutor. Most verbal classes are taught from the basics but I am not so sure about quant classes.
