    souvik101990 is currently a Product Manager lead at a FAANG company, working on developer infrastructure for AI/ML. Prior, Souvik was a Sr. Product Manager for Amazon S3, where he build products for large enterprise customers such as Uber and Netflix as well as small startups with a focus on infrastructure and platform as a service for analytical, machine learning, and event driven serverless workloads. I really don't like the FAANG acronym. :( Primarily because Netflix isn't a "Real" tech company, I think MAGAM--Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon and Meta--is a much more appropriate acronym as it truly represents the true power brokers.
Netflix is more a pretend wannabe tech company. :P No matter how much it wants to be a tech company, it will never truly be one. :P

Yeah the FAANG acronym is kinda silly. But to say that Netflix is not (or a wannabe) tech company, that's not smart either. Netflix single handedly distributes more content than the rest of the streaming ecosystem and they do it in unarguably the best way possible. I dont know how much you care or know about this, but they INVENTED and open sourced ICEBERG, which is now the de-facto way to store, access, and warehouse your data platform. Netflix is a LOT more than trashy reality TV shows.

Interesting! I didn't know that ICEBERG was invented by netflix. :) You make a good point. :)
