gmat club completes six years

Question

Here's hoping for another six years of encouraging sharing and learning from each other. To all of you browsing, please join us and start with helping others. in no time, you will be a rock star here.

The Board of Directors are our real leaders. We encourage you to look at them for clues on how to participate, contribute and help the community. Our long term goal for the community is to have at least 50 mentors (board of directors) that have the benefit of the entire perspective - the gmat to the post mba career.

What an embarrassment of riches to even have the honor of helping build such a community. A lot of you care strongly about where gmat club should go next. we welcome your thoughts and we hope that you will put the needs of the community ahead of the needs of yourself or a select few members.

thank you. We offended some of you, but a jerk-free zone is hopefully a very low price to pay for the benefits of a helpful community.

I'm sure in even with your infinite wisdom you probably did not foresee this site turn from a GMAT website to something as comprehensive it is today!

I am very proud to be a part of this wonderful community, and I tell anyone and everyone I meet (online or in person) about the club every day. In the next 5, 10, 20 years, I look forward to seeing more dedicated "alums" of the club participate actively to help out future generations of applicants! Who knows, maybe one day we'll have a real-life "reunion" of sorts, rotating to different areas of the country, every year, every other year, every 5 years? Haha, that's one vision I want to throw out there.

haha. In a VC money, hot start up context, ask any owner who goes through an IPO. The money buys you freedom, but it is a pain to run a public company. All of us love the creative process. serial entrepreneurs don't exist for nothing.

The freedom to experiment and build something useful to others is a luxury that i cannot describe. We missed a lot of mentorship in our lives and gmat club is our chance to build something that improves somebody else's life in a small way.
