Immensely grateful for releasing the sectional Focus practice tests.

Will greatly assist in practicing with timer for the Focus edition.

We have just released GMAT Focus Sectional Tests!

They are still in beta but quite capable! - Try GMAT Club's Focus Tests

If you have a GMAT Club Tests subscription, you can access the tests already.

If you want to get access, the easiest and fastest way is to get 1 free week for signing up for MBA Spotlight. The instant you register for the first session, you will get access for 7 days - plenty of time to practice.

The new Focus tests respect question overlap, meaning that you can take Classic and Focus Tests from the same question bank without seeing questions repeat.
We have released Quant and Verbal at the moment and have been able to increase the number of Quant tests. The answer change functionality is coming next week as well as other functionality.

At this time, the question picking algo is working quite well. Scoring also is working (I think it works well but we will see on what the results actually are). Would appreciate feedback if you have taken a GMAT Prep test recently or an actual GMAT. 🙏

Feedback on one of the questions- https://gmatclub.com/forum/m31-200214.html#p3304556

bb thank you for launching focus edition tests. Was waiting for it.
Though I have few questions/queries - In focus edition , verbal questions are mostly repeated as in classic edition or fresh questions ?
2) there are three different sections tests-different section tests for DI, QUANT AND VERBAL ?
3) should we expect the same difficulty level as in previous tests of gmatclub ?

Hi. Thank you for your questions.

Question #1 is addressed in the first post. I hope. Let me know if not.
2. This is also addressed in the first post.
3. The difficulty is adaptive. If you answer a question correctly, you get a harder question so the difficulty is going to match your ability. I don’t know if it’s the same or different. Quite a few of our questions are in the harder side so I think but we have at least 200-300 questions that are marked as easy for necessity of having easy questions so you should be able to find your level regardless of where you are. 😇

When I go to their website and try to look at your links, it doesn’t show both tests for the focus edition on the dashboard for some reason. I don’t think they thought this through properly. I gave my first mock and it was the old gmat version but now I’m lost on what to do as the new one will replace the older one.

I started using the focus sectional tests from past 2 days, these are really very useful interms of time management or adaptivness. Also the text explanation is very clear. Thanks for these tests.

Also i observed that the estimated score is not getting updated as per the scores in sectional tests. I mean i took 4 quants and 2 verbal sectional tests, but the estimated overall score is struck at 800 in analysis tab right from 1test to till date. Is it because DI is not considered or do I need to enable any feature to show correct estimated score.

Also waiting for DI Sectional test and Full length tests.....

However, these sectional tests are big saviour for me as i have my focused test in next 6 days.

Thank you for the feedback!

Yes, the overall score is maxed out that 800 for the time being. It is a bug 😬 we haven’t prioritized it however. Most likely will fix it this week.

Also received scoring feedback from a couple users and using their gmat prep and real GMAT scores, we will be calibrating the system this week as well.

Finally, I heard some better than previously expected timing for data insights and full mock tests. We can be cautiously optimistic but it will be several weeks most likely until the day insights test are available so I appreciate everyone’s patience 😇

hello bb

thank you for launching the GMAT focus test, for the past few days I have found that the focus test is not adaptive. I was given 15 easy questions on the last test. is there any way out of it?
