The GMAT Club Guide to VERBAL Official Guide 2019th Ed
Error Log, Difficulty, Links

The Verbal Official Guide 2019 is a great resource - it has real GMAT questions, all questions are arranged in order of difficulty, good explanations, etc but it has one major flaw - no way to sample specific questions or ability to target a specific area - for example all SC questions with idioms or all DS questions that deal with geometry. This Guide attempts to correct that flaw (and a little bit more), making Official Guide even better.

New Feature - RC Difficulty - with the addition of GMAT Club's Error Log for Reading Comprehension, earlier this year, we are able to track difficulty of RC's. Currently the % column in RC's indicates the percent of people who got this question wrong. For all other sections (CR, SC), the % indicates the percentile standing of the question in the GMAT Club's database of difficulty.

Use this guide to:

  • Find Difficulty about every question available in the-Official Guide for GMAT Review
  • Help find specific practice questions and build your custom practice tests that focus on your weak areas
  • Keep your OG Practice in one place with an Error Log and Analytics
  • Understand difficulty of each question (it is not very linear as you will notice). We have split difficulty into 4 groups (easy, medium, hard, and very hard). This split is based on the percentile of the question difficulty as determined by GMAT Club Timer sessions
  • Explanations are linked to each question for easy reference
  • All new questions are identified by "new" label
  • Questions are numbered using the same format as in the OG (new update in this version)
  • The split of hard/medium/easy questions has remained the same by en large. However, the location of harder questions has been moving around quite a bit.

P.S. I found a few typos in the OG 2019 - it had some in the questions and some in the Answer Key. If you find an inconsistency or an error in my spreadsheet, please PM me (check it with the book in multiple places first please)

Great resource. Thanks everybody.
I'm eagerly looking for the same error log for OG verbal 2018. I looked at its topic, but I couldn't find such a file. Am I missing something?

Can someone please help in letting me know how to download the error log for this? Once the google spreadsheet is open, I am not able to locate the download option.

Thanks.
