Hi tarobapo,

Honestly, as you said, you just need to be prepared for anything that comes your way on test day. In any case, do you need some general advice on how to improve your verbal skills?

There is no specific pattern designed in terms of the order of types of questions. Have confidence in yourself and be prepared for anything. Try to be focus on the question on the screen and do not try to guess next question type.
You will definitely get a good score. Cheers!!!

I gave my first official practice test and got a V33.

I was really surprised because I got 3 RC passages in first 10 questions (2 short and 1 long). I was so thrown off by this! All contiguous and no SC and CR questions in between. Since first few questions are so important, I almost lost my mind and couldn't focus.

My general strategy was that in worst case I get 2 RC in first 9-10 questions and if I take 2-3 mins more than normal I can trade speed for accuracy and not be hurt too much. But I had to spend so much extra time and my mind was so blown. Ultimately, I did end up getting 4 questions wrong in first 10 anyways and I spend a lot of time.

Is this thing normal? Did something worse than this happened to you on actual GMAT? Obviously, I will prepare for this situation on test day. And it is not like I would have got 40+ if this didn't happen :). But I want to hear opinions/suggestions.
