During the prize allocation we reviewed the posting records of the leading finishers. That review found a group of four accounts operating as a single coordinated entry - one stream of solutions distributed across several usernames, each entered on a different team. This breaks the one-account rule in the Forum Rules and the eligibility terms of the competition. All four have been removed from the prize list and the accounts have been banned. Their four prizes were reallocated down the standings to the next eligible finishers, and the winners table reflects the corrected list. We are not publishing the specifics of how the pattern was identified. We would rather keep that useful for next year. Two things worth saying plainly: - If you competed on your own, this did not cost you anything. Several people moved up as a result, some into their first-choice prize. - The accounts involved were contacted directly before this post and given an opportunity to respond. Hi everyone!

Quick update on the prizes: we are finalizing the last few allocations and ran into a problem we need to investigate, so the winners table will go up Friday rather than today. Nothing has changed about the prize pool - 59 prizes, top finishers by points, exactly as published in the rules.

Before we close out the World Cup, one piece of housekeeping.

During the prize allocation we reviewed the posting records of the leading finishers. That review found a group of four accounts operating as a single coordinated entry - one stream of solutions distributed across several usernames, each entered on a different team. This breaks the one-account rule in the Forum Rules and the eligibility terms of the competition.

All four have been removed from the prize list and the accounts have been banned. Their four prizes were reallocated down the standings to the next eligible finishers, and the winners table reflects the corrected list.

We are not publishing the specifics of how the pattern was identified. We would rather keep that useful for next year.

Two things worth saying plainly:

- If you competed on your own, this did not cost you anything. Several people moved up as a result, some into their first-choice prize.
- The accounts involved were contacted directly before this post and given an opportunity to respond.

Thank you to everyone who posted daily for two weeks. That is the part of this that actually mattered.
