Hello all,
Finally, got a 695 in GMAT FE at 98%ile. Score split - Q90, V84, DI 79.
I had first taken the conventional GMAT in Jan'24. For that I had prepared mostly all by myself for about 2 months using the official guides and doing all the mocks. I was already good at quant so that was not a problem, I was struggling with Verbal and despite practicing a lot was not seeing any score improvements. I got a 700 with Q49 and V35. I wasn't happy with the score so I registered for GMAT FE.
For GMAT FE I bought the TTP plan as I thought I needed formal training for Verbal and DI section. I really liked the interface and quality of questions on TTP. portal. One feature I liked the most was that you have to mark why you got a question wrong, they have a list of common reasons and you have to choose whichever applies. Analysing my mistakes seeing all the wrong reasons made me realise what I was doing wrong most of the time. It was primarily not reading questio carefully.
My strategy for FE was to study TTP and give the official focus Mocks. I solved around 8 official mocks with my score ranging from 595 to 675.
In one of the mocks I got an abysmally low score in DI despite getting 13 questions right, it was becasue I could not mark the last three questions - So never ever miss marking a question on GMAT FE the penalty is huge.
I am satisified with the score and TTP helped me a lot to improve the fundamentals and know how to get the tough questions right!
Also, can't thank the gmat club forum enough for all the explanations and support provided here!
