Hello guys. I am appearing for my GMAT test in 10 days. I've given 3-4 practice tests and I am scoring 590 on an average. I am not scoring well in the quant section (Q 39 and V31). Based on my preparation, I have set a realistic goal of 650 for the GMAT. Can someone please advice on what I should do in these 10 days for me to achieve a decent score? How can I structure my study pattern in these 10 days? I plan to give a full length practice test everyday from now till the test day.
Hi Pkaria ,
Since there are 6 GMAT Prep tests , you should probably stick to those as they are the most accurate representation of the GMAT . Also , you should take practice tests without skipping any of the sections .
- Don't take too many practice tests - taking one every day will do more harm than good and you might well burn out before the real one .
10 days is a little less to improve by 60 points
You should focus on your weak areas in the verbal
- SC -
e-GMAT and Manhattan SC - It can be improved in the least amount of time
- CR - Powerscore ,
e-GMAT ,
MGMAT Ron's videos
- RC - It will the most difficult section to improve
- A score on Q39 indicates that you should work on your basics . Veritas and Manhattan have good books for Quant foundation .
Quant - Consolidate on your strong areas and focus on weak areas
- Statistics , Geometry , Word problems , Coordinate geometry - Can be improved with lesser effort
- Number theory , Counting , Probability - Comparatively more effort is needed
- Solve the questions in Bunuel's signature and
GMAT Club tests for additional practice.
- Relax on the last 2 days before the GMAT !!
Hope this helps!!
