hey can anyone help me in answering this?
as per me it should be D, but GMAT club polls says A.
Roushan, take a look at the conclusion: it says that wearing a seatbelt reduces the risk of severe injury.
Now, as a smart test-taker, your job is to pause and think—wait, why should I believe that? 🤔

Remember, we’re not allowed to bring in outside knowledge (even if common sense is screaming at us). So we have to rely only on what the argument gives us.

Let’s check the premise: it says that 80% of severely injured drivers weren’t wearing seatbelts.

Okay... but so what? 😄
There’s a missing link here! Just because most injured people didn’t wear seatbelts doesn’t automatically prove that wearing one protects you. The argument skipped a step.
And that’s where you come in—to rescue the argument and make it look smart.

The correct answer (Option A) fills this gap by showing that people who wear seatbelts have a higher chance of avoiding severe injury (more than 20%) compared to those who don’t (around 20%).

Now that connects the dots properly and makes the conclusion actually believable.
