Hi everyone,

Seeking guidance on my GMAT prep plan and would appreciate your inputs.

*Background:*
- Prepped with e-GMAT for 4 months
- Scored 595 in Nov 2025 | Target: 655+
- Next attempt: 2nd July 2026 (already registered)

*Strengths & Weaknesses:*
- Quant – Confident
- Verbal & DI – Need improvement
- MSR (within DI) – Biggest concern, need structured guidance

*Current Plan:*
Plan to use the free resources and weekly study plan shared in this group for concept learning, and subscribe to GMAT Club Tests & Quiz for practice (question bank + OG questions + mocks).

*Questions:*
1. Am I heading in the right direction?
2. Which GMAT Club subscription best supports sectional tests, custom practice sets, and full-length mocks?

Would really appreciate advice or personal experiences from those who have been through a similar journey.
Thank you!
Hi WA@dzz6661, welcome to GMAT Club. Your plan sounds like a right next step to me. Especially for Verbal and DI, it’s key to practice quality questions by topic/question type so that you can solidify your previous learning on concepts/strategies and develop consistent/efficient processes for solving questions.

As to subscription, GMAT Club Tests would provide you with both sectional tests and full-length mocks. For customized problem sets, you can either use the standard forum, which is free, or consider the Forum Quiz subscription. For how to practice questions on GMAT Club, you can refer to the following post: how-to-practice-questions-the-right-way-on-gmat-club-446627.html

One reminder: unlike Quant and Verbal, where there are abundant quality official questions, official DI questions are in short supply. You would want to pace yourself in using official DI questions, so that you have enough to practice all the way till your test date. Also include official mocks in your plan. All the best.

Hey !! Quick question - would you recommend buying offical practise tests towards the end of the preparation for practicing quality DI questions ?

Hi, the official practice tests are even more scarce resources, so I would not say to buy them for "practice" purpose. Most likely you'll need them anyway, either to gauge your progress at certain milestones during your study, or to build stamina, try out section order, and/or practice timing strategy towards your test date.

When I said "in short supply", I was referring to around 550 official DI questions in the Main OG and OG DI Review Guide combined. More specifically, it's the non-DS questions that are in limited number. (You can get a lot of DS questions from past OG, GMAT Prep, etc.). Excluding DS, there are only around 300 official OG questions available for G&T, MSR and TPA.

If you exhaust the 300 or so question, you will have to resort to 3rd-party sources in the forum. In addition, GMAT Club Test sectionals (I think 10 sections?) is a good alternative. Also there is an "Official Practice Questions - DI" bundle for sale on mba.com, but it's quite expensive on a per-question basis ($29.99 for ~100 questions).

Honestly, with an adaptive test like this, it’s always tough to tell.

Maybe if GMAT share some stats from recent test takers, B-schools could factor that into how they evaluate applicants.

Hi ,

I have been going through the GMAT Club subscription plans and have a couple of questions. Would appreciate clarity from those who have already used these platforms.

*Question 1 – Quiz Subscription & OG Questions:*
Does the GMAT Club Quiz subscription (50K+ question bank) include Official Guide (OG) questions? Or do OG questions need to be purchased separately from mba.com?

*Question 2 – Quiz vs. Tests Subscription:*
I am a bit confused between the two offerings:
- *Adaptive Quiz* ($29.99/month) – Custom quizzes, 50K+ questions, error log
- *Tests Plan* (Starter/Pro/Elite) – Adaptive sectional & full-length mock tests

For someone focusing on Verbal and DI improvement (with the next attempt on 2nd July 2026), which subscription would be more beneficial — or would a combination of both be ideal?

Thank you in advance for your guidance!
Hey! GMAT Club Quiz doesn’t include official questions because of copyright restrictions, so it’s always a good idea to practice official questions directly on mba.com.

If you’re still in the concept learning or early practice phase, Quiz access can be really helpful. Later on, once you shift more into full-length practice and test-taking mode, GMAT Club Tests access would probably be more useful.

Also, if you’re able to stay consistent with your prep, do check out the perks of this study group as well: gmat-jul-aug-weekly-gmat-study-plan-group-456724.html

I'd love to join a study group for the July/August timeframe. What’s the best way to stay updated on the weekly goals and stay accountable with the group?

Hi RohanNewDelhi, you are in the right group here. Please check out the pinned post at the top of this chat room. Weekly study plan will be posted in that post, as well as weekly leaderboard updated.

By the way you might want to tweak your study plan a bit, given that you are already 3 months into your GMAT prep.

Hey!!

Do we have recordings of the office hours as well? I feel like it’d be really useful to quickly go through and skim other people’s questions and doubts.

This is the forward response from other grp may June month from ~ Harsh

I also feel one more reason if everyone rely on recordings no one will join or very less people join and no such useful q&a will happen so maybe that also one of the reason 😅
