can we expect this type of questions in exam?

No.

Pure algebraic questions are no longer a part of the DS syllabus of the GMAT.

DS questions in GMAT Focus encompass various types of word problems, such as:

  • Word Problems
  • Work Problems
  • Distance Problems
  • Mixture Problems
  • Percent and Interest Problems
  • Overlapping Sets Problems
  • Statistics Problems
  • Combination and Probability Problems

While these questions may involve or necessitate knowledge of algebra, arithmetic, inequalities, etc., they will always be presented in the form of word problems. You won’t encounter pure "algebra" questions like, "Is x > y?" or "A positive integer n has two prime factors..."

Check GMAT Syllabus for Focus Edition

You can also visit the Data Sufficiency forum and filter questions by OG 2024-2025, GMAT Prep (Focus), and Data Insights Review 2024-2025 sources to see the types of questions currently tested on the GMAT.

So, you can ignore this question.

Hope it helps.

Hey bb/Bunuel,
I was taking GMAT Club Practice test but it keeps giving below connectivity error, is this a known issue?
I have restarted paused test multiple times and have also verified internet connectivity...

Hi, I'm not completely sure. Could you check once on the website? It should ideally show your updated expiration date before you purchase the plan

Any help on this kind of timeline plan much appreciated. I feel I'm lagging with time-line planning need to rethink what we could do now. Thanks

@hr1212 can you check once why in quiz we have solution too attached or some rough texts attached.
in graph type questions the graph is too blur to read

Sometimes users post a question with their own solution or some rough text in the post as well. This is rare, but it can still happen.

When we notice such cases, we edit or fix them quickly. For example, the question you are referring to has already been fixed.

If you notice any similar issue, please click the report button, the small flag icon at the bottom of the first post of the topic, instead of posting about it here. We will review and fix it.

Hi guys, I am coming here with a question but one that needs answered for a peer of mine and because I am myself in the process, I felt I should ask it here instead to get views from people who are done past that -

15 days, complete quant course from start to end prep for GMAT, given no other additional work on top to drain energy. How feasible and doable is this?

Would depend on your educational background Manosij010.

If you have a decent quant background in school, it's possible.
