Hi harsh, wanted to get an idea what is the likelihood of encountering an 805+ type level on actual test. Not targetting an elite score but what are the chances gmat can throw such curveballs??

Hey! It really depends on how well you’re performing during the test. My rough estimate would be around 5-7 very difficult questions at most, otherwise it would become too hard to manage within the allotted time. If you’re doing well, you’ll generally continue seeing more medium to medium-hard questions, while the 805+ level questions are usually limited unless you’re tracking toward a near-perfect score. I also feel difficulty becomes quite subjective based on your strengths and weaknesses. Questions from your stronger areas may not feel that hard, while the same level in weaker topics can feel significantly tougher.
