Hello sagregas

Our mocks are designed to simulate the test one is likely to get while scoring the 90th percentile; hence, initially, the tests may feel difficult but they prepare you for the real thing, if your target is 90th percentile or above. If you talk to students who actually scored the 90th percentile, they will tell you that our tests are at par. Hence, while initially, the mocks may make you sweat, please understand, they are preparing you for the real thing you will encounter while scoring high on the GMAT!

Our scoring (and not ordering) of the questions is adaptive; hence, a student anyway still gets a fair estimation of one's lvel on the GMAT.

You will find multiple posts from Bunuel on each forum (easy/hard question cumulative set) - critical-reasoning-cr-139/

At the same time, you can use appropriate filters on the forum like select the source as OG and difficulty above 705+ and that should give you your desired result

Hey @bb @hr1212 so like i am scoring between 595-615 in mocks as well as gmat club..so before purchasing official mocks is it a good idea to purchase experts global mocks to inc my level to atleast 650-675.. or do you recommend something else ?!

Try analyzing your mocks to see where u went wrong. Just blindly solving questions won’t help unless u know where and why u went wrong.

Yes. They change the questions every 15 days so this is designed to prevent you from taking the same exact questions again

No. They just changed the set of questions but questions live for much longer - as long as 20 years, although the questions may be retired after certain exposure times rather than years. We don’t know and it doesn’t really matter for our test taking purposes.

The only thing that it’s funny to realize that some of the questions you’ll be taking were written in 2010 for example 😂

It was kind of funny to see an old “friend” - the question I took 20 something years ago show up on GMAT prep.

I still remember the probability sucker I spent close to 4 or 5 minutes on... I did not know probability was tested on the GMAT 🤣 it was not included in the Kaplan book at that time.

Hello Joao, I feel the learning thing could be Gauge by mock only ... the Actual will give us different kind of info like how we behave in pressure situation or in different environment.
So weaker section and other insights you will get from sectional or mocks only ... but sometimes people get good score in home and bad in exam then for them they need to work on different kind of strategies like mindfulness etc...
I'm novice here I haven't give any Actual exam till now but got this info. From youtube and this community...

I related funny story to the question refresh and changes and all of that good stuff and retakes. One of the moderators was taking the new GMAT when it went online right after pandemic. Signed up for both GMAT and executive assessment just to take them and see how they work and do it for fun. He was already done with his gmat and got a 760 so these exams were just for fun

He took the online GMAT and then went to take the executive assessment online and the funny part was that it had almost the same questions as his gmat test despite taking about 50 to 60% of the questions overlapped between two exams, he did not get an amazing score because he still had to solve every one of those questions. He didn’t know the answers or he couldn’t remember them exactly. So it was funny that even taken an exam with a lot of the questions did not help all that much at that level.

Ideally, you would not have to retake. I would plan not to retake if you can so you have one shot and you don’t have to waste resources.

However, it’s a good idea to usually plan or have a backup plan so don’t use Apple all of the official Jim at prep exams and leave at least two official attempts such as the entirety of exam six or five (you can take each twice).

Retake is different story for a lot of people because you have to see what’s wrong and adjust your approach that way. I would say GMAT prep should be personalized by you as much as possible - you want to ask yourself every day if you’re learning something and if what you did today was effective or if there is anything else you can change or improve

Good example for us to be back on track and I also feel personally if some remember or relatable question comes up chances of getting them wrong is more for me😂😂

Similarly, another Moderator qualified for a 50% time extension. They had 730 or 740 I wanna say this is still the old format so that’s along the lines of 675 or 685. They went and re-took the exam with a 50% bonus time because they had some attention issues but again to their surprise, their score did not increase at all. I thought it was pretty cool and amazing that extra time did not give them any advantage. They were pretty pissed 🤣 because it took efforts to get the medical paperwork and to get it approved and pay for the exam and all the other crap and then they ended up with exactly the same score

No, there is a natural in accuracy in the exam that can fluctuate probably 30 to 40 points. This is just because they algorithm when is calculate your score it has some uncertainty especially with the smaller question exam size so technically your score can be 20 points higher or 20 points lower than what you see on the screen after you’re done so having some kind of a margin of 20 points is always a good idea on the practice exams

Ok but +- 20 is also sometime brutal someone at 655 and 695 but ye we need to accept that as exam is unpredictable in many sense
