for 695+ the accouracy recommended is 100% in Quant if that’s your strong suit.

695 is combination of other sectional performance too. The recipe are as follows:
Q-90 V-81 DI-82
OR
Q-88 V-83 DI-82
OR
Q-86 V-84 DI-83
OR
Q-85 V-84 DI-84

and Many other.

so in summary
Easy: 100% accuracy
Medium: 80% accuracy
Hard: 75% accuracy

Might get you across 695 depending on placement of mistakes which guide adaptiness of the system 🙂

Looking for some advice 🙏🏻

I gave my GMAT last year on 10th June and received a 675. (this was after a prep of ~6 months in an interval of a year — 2 sprints of 3 months with 6 months gap in between).

Now due to personal reasons I couldn’t apply last year. I decided to apply in the next cycle. Now this March I decided to prep for GMAT again (since I had the time and also I kinda like the test) and retake the test only if I am able to score 705+ in 3 consecutive mocks. I prepared again for the last 3 months (March, April, May) and started appearing for mocks around May mid - but my score was still fluctuating around the same average. I took a break of around 10 days. Revisited the concepts and then gave mocks again, but still no consistent improvement- there were some mocks where I did a 695 but then some where I did a 655.

The question is —
Should I still give it a try (10 days or so) and then just go in or is it time to move on to the applications?

Hi Admins

Attempted a Full mock yesterday on GMAT Club. The scoring surprised me a bit
Q - 86 (Three Wrong - All Hard)
V - 84 (Two Wrong - Easy + Medium)
D - 80 (Three Wrong - 2 Medium + 1 Hard)
Got 675 with Eight Wrong

Please guide if this is correct?

I think you should give it a try

My suggestion would be to refer only Official materials (OG + Mocks) to gauge the actual progress, focus exclusively on what your grey areas are, I think you're on your way for a 700+ score.

DI score is a bit harsh here but placement and difficulty level of question will decide that...

in Q and V scores seem appropriate...

What should be the score ideally? I feel Q is fine maybe DI score should be little more at least 84

I too feel the same if your first mistake is not among the first 4 questions in the section

mistake in first or second penalises very heavily...

Ahh yes this logic also comes up ... and how nearby 2 3 mistake happens that also one of the factor but I still feel DI Score is less even keeping all this point ... and I asked and confirmed several times regarding the weightage of initial questions but mostly every expert told now its not the case in old gmat initial questions have more value but now its ok if we get 1 or 2 questions wrong in first 5 or 10
