I had mailed them regarding this problem. They said to clear cache and history of your browser.

Thank you Aditim12 for your suggestion.

It isn't working.

I had a similar issue on the official mock #2. I was approximately on question number 15 on GMAT when it suddenly said "5 out of 36" with less time remaining. I did not know which question I was on!

SOLUTION (best available): If you pause and go out of the test. As soon as you enter, the time and question number should be correct. If the question number or/and time still isn't correct, at least you'll see which question you're on. Just remember to do this quick so that you don't take a mental break (to keep yourself in a test-like mode).

Faced same issue with GMAT mock 1, 3 and 4. (I haven't attempted Mock 2)
My observation is that whenever there is an internet connection issue, OR test taker pauses the exam, the question numbering seems to reset for some reason.
I faced this issue in verbal today. I came across an RC with 4 minutes on the timer and messed up question numbering. I ended up guessing all of the RC questions, thinking that I might see some SC or CR questions at the end (I did not   .)

Not sure if this affects the scoring of the mock in any way. It would be great if someone can provide some insight into this issue.
Also, Can this issue repeat on actual exam as well?
