I'm planning on giving my GMAT online in a few days. My study is attached to my living room, and the only other room in my house is the bedroom.
So there is no door or separation between the living room and the study area.
The living room has a sofa+tv+book rack etc which you can clearly clearly see from the study.
So, can I take my GMAT in the study area if I ensure that no one is at home?

Hi sridevivraghavan,

Before you begin your At-home GMAT, the Test Moderator will likely ask you to show him/her the room that you are in (by moving your computer around to show the room with the attached webcam). It will be up to the Moderator to determine whether your testing conditions are acceptable or not. All things considered, assuming that you are the only one on the premises, then you will be probably be fine to take your Exam in your Study.

For anyone who is following this post, I checked with Examity. The POC told me that it's fine to take the exam from my study as long as no one is in the house. I also asked a million other questions, he patiently answered them. Will update the actual experience and the questions on this thread once I'm done.

So I took the GMAT online today. The proctor was incredibly patient and understanding. There was a small issue with my Mac not allowing the browser to open. But we fixed it.
The location was not an issue :)

That's great to hear. Is the Score in your profile (690/Q47/V38) your Score from this attempt - and are you happy with the result? If it is, then that's a strong performance. What Schools are you planning to apply to and when are you planning to apply?

Hi Rich,

My latest score is 700 (Q 46, V 40). I was doing much better in my mocks Q 49,50,51.

Im not very happy with those score, but its my fourth attempt now. And I want to apply in Round 2 for the 2022 fall intake. I dont have a single thing in place in terms of the application.

I was hoping to get 730+ and with that apply to Ross/Cornell/Tepper/NUS and maybe Kellogg. But I'm not sure anymore.

If you have the time, please go through the link shared here and let me know if you have any advice :)
