Yes. With GMAT online, it is a separate system. You can send an unlimited number of scores to an unlimited number of schools for free. Because it is a separate system, it does not report any of the in person tests. Similarly in person test reports, do not include any GMAT online scores.

Further, if you have multiple GMAT online scores, you cannot cancel them but you don’t need to cancel them either. With GMAT online, you choose which scores you want to be reported, so if you have two scores, you choose the one you want to report or you report both for whatever reason. For the time being, you can only take GMAT online twice.

Well... that's a long message to ask a simple question but thanks for sharing your story :-)

GMAT online score report does not include test-center based scores.

wait what?

so if i send the online score at the end of the exam, the school would know that the only attempt of GMAT I have is the score I've sent?

Hi enigma1504,

The good news is that the online GMAT report is separate from the in-person GMAT report, so if you hit your score goal with your online GMAT, you'll be able to submit only that report.

I'm a little confused. I have taken GMAT test center exam 2 times and GMAT online once. I reported the score to few schools in all the 3 exams. Now, when I send my application will the school be able to see all the 3 scores? UCLA website says that they will be aware of all reported scores.

Just to be clear, you submitted your test-center GMAT score report and your online GMAT score report to schools? If that is the case, then yes, they will see all 3 scores.

Thanks for the clarification Scott. I have one follow up question:
The schools' application portals only ask us to enter our GMAT scores right. How will they map my application to the GMAT scores they received?

Hi bb

Does this separate score reporting system still hold true?

I took my GMAT at a test center recently and cancelled my scores as the unofficial score was not within my target score range (it is quite close though). I am planning to take the GMAT Online as I am confident of improving my score.

In the event my GMAT online score is lower than my Test Center score, I am planning to re-instate the previous Test Center score. Hope my GMAT Online score would also not be reported to the schools upon reinstatement.

Also, I am not able to find any information in GMAT's website regarding this. Please share the url if you know where to find it.

Thanks in advance! :)

You have to manually send your Online scores afterwards.

"To send your free Official Score Report for exams taken online, once you receive the email notification that it is available, you can log into your mba.com account and select the programs you wish to send your score too. You must send your free Official Score Reports within 48 hours of it being made available on mba.com. Via your mba.com account, can review your Official Score Report before deciding whether you want to send it to schools." - MBA website.

All the best with your exam. Some quick tips on the gmatknight website you may find helpful.

I guess unlimited score reporting is a history now?

Correct. I do not believe it's offered anymore.

Yup, that is correct. You can report your scores to only 5 schools for free within 48 hours of the official scores appearing on mba.c om.
