Hey all - anyone had any luck with refund? These GMAC folks aren't replying to any of the emails.

No but I have contacted both examity as well as GMAC and GMAC told me to approach examity for refund related issues so I approached them and they have made a request for the refund and I am yet to receive it.

Hey! I just had a similar horrid experience and I have written to them to reschedule the exam. But now I just feel like getting a refund and giving it in person. Did you get a refund? I’m really worried.

I took the exam offline and following up for refund. After 7 to 8 emails today they responded that they have initiated a non transferable voucher which can only be used for online exam. But I have asked them that I have already taken the exam and need refund. Awaiting their response

Hi everyone
I faced a similar issue of secure browser not responding on 16th august and have been trying to contact gmat but no reply through mail. Examity has already mailed and confirmed about the technical issue and asked to mail gmat for refund or retest. It has been more than 14 days so any idea what to do next

Yes I am also doing the same. I have contacted the customer care at mba dot com also as examity tells me that it will be a two way process so you can also try the same. But man the examity guys are really not professional.

Hi All, took the test on 27th of August and faced the same issue as everyone. Could not move to the next questions and screen froze but time kept ticking. I have received a non refundable non transferable voucher from gmac which can be used only in at home version. What if I book the test and get the same error again ? Will they give me another voucher? Being in that situation is very stressful. Did anybody take the online test and had a smooth experience in first or second time. What is the right thing to do. Should I use the voucher or ask for refund ?

By way of an update. I have to received the refund. Though it was a painful process, mailing GMAT everytime and tweeting on their twitter handle. But after 20 days the refund is received.

Hi,

I mailed GMAC 10 days back regarding the technical issue but have not received any response on that yet. I have the automated reply on the very same day when I mailed them from "[email protected]".

Shall I mail them again on the same mail id or is there any other mail id which I should add to get a quicker response? Shall I book another slot and ask them for a refund or shall I wait for the voucher since I am not sure whether they will provide the refund?

Please suggest.

Wow I feel happy for you . I had recently got a reply from GMAC about 2 weeks ago for the refund and they told me to wait for 5 to 7 business days but I have not yet received and I also mailed examity relating the same request and they told me to wait. Hope I get it soon.

I have the same problem i took gamt online exam on 31st October and got canceled on very 1st question because of lag.Gmat dashboard exam status shows technical issue but gmac have not mailed me yet with any details.I wrote them 4 5 mails.


Can anyone explain what hapepe afterwards.Do they refund for this error or gave another exam rescheduled. Or i have to pay again and register for another exam. Because this seem so bad i am waiting for their response since 15 days.

Yes, the response might be late but GMAC will provide you either a voucher code or the refund after verifying whether your condition meets the technical error criteria. So, nothing to worry about.
