Hi guys,
So I'm writing this post regarding the the recent announcement of being able to retake Gmat online by the end of this september. I gave my first attempt to gmat online on 29th August and got a heart shattering 630( Q:48,V:28). Thus naturally, I decided to retake it. To my luck, I got an email from GMAC saying that retakes for GMAT online will be available by the end of this September. This email was good news but also put me in a huge dilemma. Should I send my current Gmat scores?
For the sake of prudence I was planning to send my scores but I'm not sure if I'll be able to give my retake if I do. I don't have the option of giving it offline since the situation in the test centers of my city is quiet miserable.
I'm aimimg for a 670 and I need to get done with this step of the application process as soon as possible. Can someone please advice me on if I should send my gmat online scores or no. People who gave it before June or so were able to retake the exam so if you are one of them please help :cry:

Online GMAT retake is starting from September end only so I don't think anyone will be having the experience regarding such.
In context to your current score sending, it depends on your aspiring college deadlines and your application round preference. There are chances that you will get score in 7 days. Or not. So take both scenarios in hand and choose wisely.

Hello, bhadrashivam. I agree with what has been said above. The deadlines of the schools to which you intend to apply should guide your hand. I have worked with clients before who have really come down to the wire, taking or retaking the GMAT™ and applying to their schools with nothing more than an unofficial, self-reported score in hand (to be confirmed at a later date). It is not as though admissions committees examine each application as it comes in, so as long as the application package is in place, the lack of an official test score to a test you have, in fact, taken will not hold you back. You also want to put your best foot forward, so if you spend the next week or two studying and end up with a higher score, it would be worth submitting that score instead. Give it everything you have got and do not simply hope for a better outcome the second time around.

A point of note. If you ever apply to PhD programs and they have not received the official test scores by the deadline, then some of these programs will NOT consider your application. Presumably here you are referring to MBA programs that may have different preferences.

The safest approach would be to send whatever scores you have. If the programs do not receive any scores, then your application package is incomplete, which would leave your application at risk.
