Hi all,
Long time, lurker, first time poster. This is a terrific forum jam-packed with great info. Kudos to all of you.
Here's my story. I am a CPA with a MS in Accounting. It has always been a goal of mine to get into a top business school. To get accepted into the MS in Accounting program, I needed to take the GMAT, but I needed a minimum score. In the end, I received a 520.
The thing is, my high school education was on the weaker side, so my math and verbal skills are not where they should be. In addition, I was not able to fully invest the time necessary to prepare to get a good score on the GMAT because I needed to get started on the Masters program.
With that said, I got on 3.95 GPA on my MS and I received my CPA so I believe that if I invest the time I will be able to catch up to speed (I hope for my sake!)
I currently work full time as an accountant and I don't have 3 months to throw at prepping for GMAT. The only way I will be able to prepare is over the course of many months, slowly building up my skills in my down time.
So I am looking for a GMAT prep course that doesn't have a time limit but will be suitable for someone at my starting point. I went through the Manhattan foundations of GMAT Math and Verbal, so that's probably a good starting point.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all responses in advance.
