Hi,

Is anyone here just started to prepare for GMAT? If anyone can share their plan and the books they are following would have been very helpful.
If it has been a long break from academics for you, go through Gmatclub's Mathbook and Manhattan SC Guide to start with. Read about the test format, strategies and time management. After a week(may be more depending on your suitability) or so give an official mock. This is to check you raw level from where you could decide how to proceed. Review the test and work on you weak areas.

Come back after your review.

Hello Udit,

Welcome to the GMAT club, and best luck for your preparations. GMAT is not as easy as we assume. GMAT math is logic, and GMAT verbal is a real test of English as a language. So, we recommend you to look for reliable resources.

Considering your target score of 700+ seems realistic. Remember various possible combinations to achieve a score of 700 or above: V37/Q50, V39/Q49, V43/Q45.

Did you take any diagnostic test?

If yes, we request you to write me back with your latest score to assist you better.

Having trained a lot of students for GMAT from India and other countries, I, as a GMAT instructor, will first recommend you appear for a free diagnostic test on https://www.mathrevolution.com. Also, check our free trial pack and free-video lesson.

Your diagnostic score will clarify what plan you should adopt to beat the GMAT. An initial mock rating will help me to understand your concept knowledge of both the sections.

Get access to our free trial lessons and free videos by visiting https://www.mathrevolution.com.

For a math refresher, you may check our 5-hour lesson plan. Apart from this, you require unique and alternative approaches to quickly solve the quant questions, and Up-To-Date questions meet GMAT exam trends. Take our Q 51 shortcut module for the quant to deal with various questions in less time. Our other experts or I will be there to help you.

Also, you should check this forum for some reliable resources related to verbal. For sentence correction, you may refer to OG or Aristotle Grail. For RC and CR, try solving level 700 questions.

Gradually, with the help of mock tests, you will be able to track your performance.

We will be waiting for your break score to suggest better about section-wise preparation.

Let us know if you have further questions.
You can reach us at [email protected].

Success is within your reach.
Good luck!
