The official books contain the most realistic questions you'll find, and especially for Verbal, I wouldn't recommend using any other sources. If you'll have time to work through the questions in the two supplemental books, you should get them, but if you're not sure how much time you'll have, you could get the OG first, then buy the additional books later. If you instead chose to use questions on this forum, you'll be studying a lot of lower quality questions, so that's a less efficient way to prepare.

Hi Suku93,

The main OG is great for extra practice, but do you plan to use any other resources for your prep?

Buying all 3 would be a solid purchase. There are e-versions available by the way. You could also start off with the main one and see whether you want to buy the other two as well.

The main OG is great for extra practice

I'm curious what you could possibly mean by the word "extra" in this sentence. Every expert in the GMAT world who isn't selling a product, and most experts who are selling a product, would say that resources other than the OG provide "extra practice". The OG contains the questions every test taker should do.

I am an Indian doctor who have started preparing for gmat. I need little guidance regarding official guides. Should I purchase all 3 OG or the main one will suffice
Hi Suku93,

I'd normally recommend getting all three. The OGs are the primary source of official questions, which are, on the whole, significantly better than non-official questions. Also, the bundle can be cheaper, and most test takers I know end up needing more questions than there are in the main OG.

That said, as IanStewart mentions, you may want to start with the main OG.

Hi Suku93,
Manhattan prep strategy guides are the great material for concept building. You can also consider gmat club free resources. There are some useful free resources you can follow it:
