Hi,
I took GMAT on 14th Oct and scored 600 (Q49 V24)
Devastated by the results, I took some time off and started to plan for another attempt. I have joined
e-GMAT and working on my weak areas. It's one thing to join a prep class and another to really make the best of it. I am not able to make myself to study.
I really worked hard last time, and I am not able to put my best this time. In dire need of some encouragement and enthusiasm.
Is anyone else out there in the same state, or was in this state?
Thanks
Sneha
Hi Sneha,
There is no one else better to motivate you than yourself. Lock yourself in a dark room and try to answer this question - Why do you want to do MBA? What kind of life do you see for yourself five years down the line? The point is simple. If you want the kind of life you want, you got to work hard for it today. Write your target score on a piece of paper and stick it up in front of your bed. Get up in the morning and the first thing you should be able to see is your goal / target score.
Besides, to be able to improve your score, try this. Pick up as many mock tests as possible and start practicing. The key here is how much time you spent in analyzing your performance and then improving on the same. Typically, if you spend 2 hours giving a mock test, spend at least 4-5 hours in analyzing your performance. Go over each and every question and figure out a better, smarter and a faster way to solve them. Take a note of these points and then make sure you apply them in the next test. Keep doing this consistently and you will see your score reaching the target score.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you would have any other specific question about GMAT preparation and we would be happy to guide.
Wish you the best.
