I took the GMAT for the first time in the month of october '13. I had a horrible score of 490 ( completely devastated my confidence as it was 150 points less than my average mocks).
After that I had my mid-sem examinations( final year graduate) so could only resume study from the month of January ( middle half of january). With everything put into the second attempt i was hovering around 660-680 on the gmat prep test but far lower on the manhattan tests( usually around 600-630).
I took the GMAT today and scored a 620 (Q 48,V ,27).My official score was closer to my manhattan test scores.I was especially saddened by my verbal performance as i was scoring in the 30-34 range in all my gmat prep tests.
Since this was my second attempt, i would like to ask three things :-
1.) Should i take the gmat again? I am planning to apply at least 2 years from now.
2.)If so what should be an appropriate time period when i should resume with my studies.
( My college final exams commence in the first week of may, so i want to take it possibly after that).
3.Would schools view it unfavourably if i take the gmat again?
Keeping all this in mind i feel i am beginning to understand the gmat better and i am getting closer i have placed a target score between 680-720.
Any tips/advices for my third attempt if i may do say take it again?.I wish to make it my final attempt for the gmat.
