Hi holdenpc,
Given your current Scaled Scores, you have a fairly equal opportunity to pick up points in the Quant and Verbal sections. The challenge is that you "see" the Quant section in a certain way and the missing points that you are looking for will require that you change the way you "see" (and respond to) the Quant section. Many Test Takers find it difficult to change their habits in such a short period of time. You might find that the EMPOWERgmat Quant Score Booster gets you thinking in the right ways to get those points. In the Verbal section, you do not have any 'weak' category, so you're probably missing out on some rarer variations on common question types and some rarer grammar rule-based SCs. Fatigue might also be impacting your performance late in the Test.
To simplify this issue, you should first look at the 'precision' of your work. On your last CAT, how many questions did you get wrong that you COULD have gotten correct.... but you made a silly/little mistake? THOSE are the easiest, quickest points that you should be able to "get back." Usually, the solution is to take more notes, label your work, stop doing "math" in your head, etc. This is an area that you can work on regardless of whether you're going to invest in new study materials or not.
