Hi everyone,
I took the GMAT 4 times, but cancelled 2 of them so only the top 2 scores are currently visible to schools when I send my score report. I am considering reinstating 1 additional score (making 3 visible) to demonstrate perseverance. My overall score (~700) is low for the schools I am applying to, so I feel this could help, especially if the school only considers the top score. The 3 GMATs were taken over a span of ~3.5 months and show an ~90 point total score increase (#1 to #3 that would be visible). Though, the first 2 scores that would be visible were quite low.
Taking the test 3x does show even more determination than 2x, but it could also be a red flag that I took it so many times to reach my ~700 score. So, it might look better to only have 2 attempts be visible...I'm unsure here and I can see arguments both ways...
I am leaning towards reinstating the score, but appreciate any thoughts!

checkersandeggs - I am not sure whether you should showcase a significantly low GMAT score, especially given your GMAT score is lower than the median score of your target school(s). I recommend you create a similar post on the "Ask Admission Consultants", but make sure to clearly state 1. four different GMAT score and the sectional splits 2. dates of testing 3. additional information on your profile: work experience, post-MBA goals, extra curriculum, etc.

Hi, It is better to focus on profile building than to showcasing your score improvement. sometimes it may backfire also. So, focus on writing good essays and getting strong recommendations.
