I have a general query:
How many 700 above quant and verbal questions will GMAT ask to get an overall score of above 700 in GMAT. Also what is the expected accuracy of these questions. I mean to get a good quant score should each of the 700 above question be correct or do we need 50%-75% accuracy in these.
The GMAT algorithm is adaptable. What this means is this:
- If you answer the first few questions correctly, you will start getting the 700 level questions. If you answer them incorrectly, the algorithm will take you a notch down and give you lower level questions. If you answer them correctly, it will again give you higher level questions. Basically, it will try to zero in on your level and give you questions accordingly.
- Instead, if you answer 650 level questions incorrectly, you might stick around that level for a while. You may not see 700 level questions for a while in that case. After you answer 650 level questions convincingly, you might see 700 level questions. If you answer enough of them correctly, the software might zero in on your ability around that level.
In both cases, the person could end up with the same score.
So hopefully, you see the futility of your question.
