Hi there - I apologise in advance if the question sounds old, but I would like to ask to those of you who have a great experience what do you think about the different GMAT simulations available on the market? and which are supposed to be the most reliable?
The question comes from this: I have just finished a GMAT simulation from the GMAT prep (Exam pack 1) and I got an incredibly high score of 730 (Q49, V40).
As much as I would like to be super happy (my target GMAT is 700) I have a couple of doubts on the reliability of this score, let me explain you why.
Ok, I will start by saying that maybe I have just been lucky because in I faced only one question on distance/speed/time and a couple of relatively easy ones on probability and counting (the topics I struggle the most with), and therefore if I take the second GMAT prep exam, I might do worse with a pool of question less "favourable" to me.
Nevertheless my concerns come from the fact that I have already had 3 simulations with the Manhattan package where I have never performed so well (3 simulations 670 Q43 V38, 640 Q41 V36 and 640 Q42 V36), and the overall feeling during the test - during the quant more than the verbal - was "****! this is tough, I am not ready for 700". With GMAT prep, even if I don't believe I am at 730, the overall feeling was, though but doable, I might not be already 700 but I am close.
What is your opinion about this? Does anyone else have perceived this difference with GMAT and Manhattan (or with other provider) and what would be the best strategy to understand as best as possible our "real" level?
