You may find this article helpful. It talks about the difference between a ~700 score and a 99th percentile score (at the time of writing, 760). https://www.manhattanprep.com/gmat/blog ... and-a-760/

Hey gmat750please,

First of all, let me mention that scoring 700+ in the GMAT is definitely a good reflection of your level of preparation. However, you must ensure to keep this up so that you can improve your score further.

In e-GMAT, we stress on precision targeting – identify the exact areas which restricting one from reaching a higher score. You can figure out the procedure of the same in the following manner:

    • As per your Enhanced Score Report, first locate the areas or specific modules in which your performance is not upto the mark.
    • Take the specific modules only for rework, at first. Like if your score is not so good in Sentence Correction, take up that module and revise all the concepts as well as application quizzes.
    • Repeat the same for all the necessary modules for both quant and verbal, so that you don’t leave any possible gaps in your preparation.

Once you are done with this, you should consider going through a topic-wise Workshop/Webinar, to ensure that you have left no stones unturned. You can also get a taste of different varieties of questions on varied difficulty levels, in platforms like Scholaranium.

Also attend a free session on the Strategies of GMAT, to ensure you leave no stones unturned.

There are students who started with 700+ attempt in the original GMAT, improved their scores to 770. So, it is definitely a case of focused preparation, added with continuous effort.
