Hi,

I am a month and a half into my GMAT prep. I took up Jamboree (Indian based coaching center) Education's GMAT preparation bundle which consisted of online classes over the weekend. They provided me with a book on Verbal Questions and 2 Quant books (Basic Quant questions & Advanced Quant questions). The faculty has been decent enough till now however I feel to achieve my target score of 705+, I will need to up my game that what it is currently.

Are there ay other resources I should leverage? Any other material I should buy? What should be my roadmap to achieving the highest score possible?
Additionally, I plan to take the GMAT within the next 2 months.

I am kind of unsure how to plan my prep journey and would highly appreciate any valuable guidance and strategies.

Thanks.

When it comes to test prep resources, it’s important to find the one that best suits your learning style.

Finally, in addition to chatting with folks here, you can check out GMAT course reviews on GMAT Club. Most courses also offer free or low-cost trials so that you can give a few a test drive.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out.

chetan2uhi,thanks for few quant topics suggestions above. I have done basics foundation but I get demotivated when I see actual Gmatclub practice questions which are more logic oriented, usually I quickly solve problems. pls do suggest.

Hi Diksha,
the score in both Quant and Verbal requires a lot of improvement BUT good thing is that you have just started with your preps so there should be a good scope of improvement..
the best judge for taking an online course or an inperson classes or self study is you and would depend on your ability to grasp things...
there are many who have done self study and reached their score and there are very many who have gone through couple of courses and are still there from where they started..

You have following at your disposal..
1) self study... If you can pick finer points when you have been given theory or some videos and notes..
2) online course.. if you can learn from the videos and few techniques put across via video and othe rmaterial..
3) in person classes.. you have a chance to clear your doubts in class one to one but ofcourse the time in a class is limited and you can not be a person shy to ask doubts in front of others. And a lot depends on the type of instructors and courses where you are staying..
4) Private tutor.. a lot depends on instructor but you can ask doubts and a lot of attention gets paid on your preparation.

If you have to invest, invest wisely because more than money you are investing your time. take some time, do your homework and select what is best for you. do not get carried away by reviews or persuasion without giving it a proper thought..
The most important is to realize your weaknesses and what it will take to overcome.

Regards
Chetan

Hey,

I have been solving questions only from the GMAT CLUB. I do have the official guide for GMAT focus but not the section books. Should I buy those too to solve or its fine to continue as I already have notes of topics. The concepts for quants, RC and DI [basics] gets covered in a class I have joined for another entrance.

But what about the official books. Will it be enough to just solve questions from the CLUB and then jump straight into the official guide after the all the topics are covered.?
