GMATClub has been a godsend for studying questions, but there's a lack of discussion around the GMAT test taking experience for those with accommodations. So after I take the test I will write a post about it for those interested..
I will be taking the in-person exam in two days, and I was approved for:
i) 50% extra time, and
ii) additional rest break
I understand 50% extra time applies to all sections (ie. Quant goes from 61 to 91.5 minutes), but my hope is that someone can clarify the additional break. After several hours on the phone with GMAT, the accommodation contact center, and my test center, all I've received are conflicting answers. The last I was told, there is additional break time of 8 minutes, which will be spread across sections and appear randomly on the screen during the section. I was told there it be a standalone break of 8 minutes, which cannot be back to back with another break (aka it has to be between AWA and IR).
Can anyone confirm what it actually is, and if I have the ability to decide when/for how long the break will appear?
