My strength section wise v<di<q
I choose q, v , di sequence in exam. How should I choose section to score maximum?

Just adding on to what bb has written.

If you find that you are pretty stressed up, take the easier one first. Maybe you could finish the section with some time left and thereby giving you extra break time in a way.

If you are generally at your best in the beginning, start with toughest, 10 min break, therafter easiest(maybe you add up two three minutes to the break before final selection).

Best would be to take 2-3 mocks in both sequence under strict timed conditions. See what suits you.

Hi All. I scored 515 today in GMAT. On an average, my GMAT official mocks have been in the range of 505-555. I have a strong profile with 14 years strategy consulting experience and I am targeting IIM Ahmedabad and Bangalore in their second and third rounds respectively. Seems GMAT has become a tough nut for me. Any suggestions if I should switch to gre and give in the next 15 days. How easy or difficult would this be. Any suggestions if I should even think about this or still focus on GMAT. Would GMAT prep work well for GRE.

Hi. Sorry about not being happy with the score - it is hard to study when you have a full-time busy and demanding job and you are over 10 years out of college and high school.

It sounds like you scored on par with your practice tests. Which was not a great score, is at least consistent.

Unless you can think about good way to turbocharger score or some really obvious things that you can change or obvious mistakes you can improve quickly, I don’t think you can improve significantly in 15 days.

It’s pretty easy to switch to GRE and the test is much easier based on the reports... it won’t take more than a few hours to convert one way or another

Hi All, Is it humanely possible to go from 565 (retook only 1 official mock after 1 month of practice) to 705 - I have 20 days left for my GMAT. But I can put in full time of effort for it
So, here’s my take

If your fundamentals are strong but you’re cracking under pressure, then yes
More practice under more relaxed conditions can get you to a 705

But if you are not able to solve the problem without any time limit, test conditions etc, then no
it’s not possible to go to 705 from 565

It depends on the type of questions you get right or wrong in the exam. For example if you’ve scored better in verbal maybe you got the initial few questions correct. Then the exam automatically might have switched to a higher level of difficulty. And the more difficulty questions you attempt the more your score. If you are attempting an easier set of questions then you might have got many questions wrong initially.
I got the first 4 wrong in my verbal section last year
Ended up with V81 (With 10 wrong)

You really have to get a lot of questions for it to affect your score by this much

They do for exec. MBA In it also there are bifurcations - with gmat/gre and placement. Without gmat/Gre - no placement
